What is CAESIE?

CAESIE is a free service specifically targeted to enhance science and technology collaboration between small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and researchers (in Europe and Australia) across three core priority areas.  (1) Clean energy; (2) Healthy ageing through enabling technologies, and (3) Sustainable cities. CAESIE will also provide a forum for Australian participation in Horizon 2020

Does CAESIE provide direct funding?

As part of facilitating the initial collaboration arrangements between SMEs and researchers, a Priming Grant  can be made to eligible SME applicants to assist with travel costs to develop their relationship with a researcher or research organisation.

These small grants can be used for initial travel for meetings to discuss the basis for collaboration, or for other items such as software required to enable such interactions to take place.

PLEASE NOTE: Priming grants have already been awarded for the 2013 and 2014 periods. No further calls planned for 2015. New calls will be announced through the website and to those who receive our news updates by email.
